Upholstery Project

Found this chair at the Sally Anne for...One whole dollar.

I've decided to give it a make over.  The frame and the canning is in great shape and I like the classic, clean lines of this piece of furniture.

It is sanded and ready to be painted.
Now I just need to find fabric with a great print to upholster with.
Hopefully it won't take me too long to finish, I'll show you how it turns out.

    Take care,

  2. I can't wait to see the finished product!

  3. This is an interesting blog.

Is that back cushion on the chair attached to the chair or just tied on?

I'm blessed because my husband does all the upholstering around here since he was trained to do it in the old country and has lots of experience.

  4. Thanks Jean,
The cushion was attached with fabric covered buttons had a piece on the back of them that pushed through the cushion and held it to the chair.
I would love to have someone teach me who had lots of experience!

  5. Hi Janna!

You sure are ambitious! I love your projects and look forward to the walk through on how to do it.
I have a similar chair from Glen's aunt and had Doug Campbell upholster it with a neat paisley from Hamilton Outlet Stores. That's one place to fine great fabrics for decorating. Nice to enjoy a visit with you here on your blog! Good work, Janna!

I love hearing from you!
